Stereophonic is the West End’s electrifying new hit, hailed as “an extraordinary, electrifying odyssey” (The Guardian) and “an instant classic” (Rolling Stone).

This critically acclaimed play takes audiences inside a 1976 recording studio, where an up-and-coming rock band wrestles with the album that could launch them to superstardom. As the tape rolls, egos flare, relationships fracture and artistry is born – one take at a time.

"1970s rock drama is a sublime, five-star hit" (Financial Times)

Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin and featuring original music by Will Butler (formerly of Arcade Fire), Stereophonic offers intimate, fly-on-the-wall access to the agony and ecstasy of the creative process.

Extended to 22 November, Stereophonic plays at the Duke of York’s Theatre for a strictly limited season.
