From bold British revivals to sky-high Mediterranean and irreverent Asian flavours, London’s dining scene is buzzing with standout new arrivals.

A New Chapter for The Beaumont Mayfair
Opening this September, Rosi marks a bold new chapter for The Beaumont Mayfair. Under the direction of newly appointed Culinary Director Lisa Goodwin-Allen, one of the UK’s most acclaimed Michelin-starred chefs, the restaurant promises a 'spirited, modern take on British dining'. With a focus on seasonal produce and impeccable provenance, Rosi’s menu blends wit, warmth and theatrical flair, from signature pies and flame-finished sponges to prime English Wagyu steaks.
Lisa is joined by Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes and Executive Head Chef Jozef Rogulski, formerly of The Game Bird. Backed by CEO Stuart Procter, the opening is part of a wider transformation of the hotel. “With Lisa at the helm,” says Procter, “we’re reimagining what Mayfair dining can be.”
Rosi replaces the Colony Grill and ushers in a brighter, more characterful interior, reflecting Lisa’s vibrant style.
Rosi at The Beaumont Mayfair opens September 2025.
Kenny Atkinson to Open Solaya at art’otel Hoxton
This autumn, acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Kenny Atkinson makes his London debut with Solaya, a French-Mediterranean restaurant launching on the 25th floor of art’otel London Hoxton.

Known for his celebrated Newcastle restaurants House of Tides and Solstice, Atkinson will lead concept and menu development, with Nicola Losquadro (formerly of Sucre and Mere) heading up the kitchen. Designed to evoke "sunshine on a plate," Solaya promises bold, soulful flavours paired with sweeping city views. The restaurant will seat 70 in the main dining room, with an additional 110 in the adjoining lounge and bar, plus private dining balconies available year-round. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, copper-toned ceilings and plush interiors, Solaya aims to match its spectacular setting with a menu full of warmth and occasion. “This is my first solo London venture,” says Atkinson. “Solaya is about flavour, generosity and joy.”
Reservations will open ahead of the restaurant’s anticipated autumn launch.
Freak Scene Pops Up at 100 Wardour Street
Australian chef Scott Hallsworth is bringing his cult pan-Asian concept Freak Scene back to Soho for an exclusive pop-up at 100 Wardour Street, in partnership with Evolv Collection.

Running to November, the residency marks Freak Scene’s much-anticipated return to the area — and the only Asian dining experience within the Evolv portfolio. Hallsworth, known for his bold flavours and irreverent style, made his name at Nobu before launching the acclaimed Kurobuta. Expect signature Freak Scene dishes like chilli crab wonton bombs and red curry duck donut buns, alongside new creations made for Soho’s crowd. The menu will be matched by a Saturday brunch with attitude, graffiti-covered walls, hip-hop beats and playful energy. CEO Martin Williams calls it “a partnership that makes fantastic sense,” signalling Evolv’s forward-thinking direction. For Hallsworth, “it’s the most exciting chapter yet.”

Following success in Dubai and Doha, the Art Deco-inspired restaurant brings high-style dining and sweeping 360-degree views to the capital. Expect a refined yet playful take on pan-Asian cuisine, from steamed Wagyu and kimchi dumplings to yellowtail carpaccio topped with black truffle, and spicy bluefin tuna oshizushi. Stylish interiors, a “dim sum library,” and skyline views make this a destination worth dressing up for.

Cô Thành Comes to Covent Garden
The mystery of what would replace Frenchie in Covent Garden is over — and it’s great news for lovers of Vietnamese food. Cô Thành, a cult favourite from Hong Kong, is opening its first UK outpost at the Henrietta Street site, serving bold, authentic flavours inspired by Saigon street food legend, the Lunch Lady.
Mrs Nguyễn Thị Thanh rose to global fame after appearing on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations in 2009. Though she sadly passed away earlier this year, her legacy lives on through chef Brian Woo, who trained under her for three years before launching Cô Thành in Hong Kong in 2017.
The London branch will offer signature dishes from the Hong Kong menu, alongside London-only specials. Highlights include Bún Mắm (a savoury vermicelli soup with fermented fish and shrimp paste), Bún Thái (a spicy-sour Vietnamese take on Thai flavours), Bún bò Huế (a complex broth with beef, pork, lemongrass, and herbs and Bánh Mì (a range of classic Vietnamese sandwiches). You can also expect Vietnamese desserts, smoothies, cocktails and coffee — and maybe the famed dark-roast coffee panna cotta.
Opens September.
