About 200 guests, including Concierges, Golden Keys business affiliates and hoteliers, attended the event to mark the 74th Anniversary of Les Clefs d’Or International. Hosted by President of The Society, Binoy Nair and his committee, the glittering event was sponsored by WHERE London and The Tourism Media Group, Golden Tours and ME London.

The celebration party was held at ME London's Radio Rooftop Bar in Covent Garden and included a Nyetimber sparkling wine reception and a menu curated by the hotel. A highlight for many was the bar serving fresh Nigiri sushi and Sashimi.

Supporting Charity

During the evening, The Society presented a cheque for more than £23,000 to Hospitality Action, its long-term charity partner. The proceeds were raised at the successful Gala Dinner, held at London Hilton on Park Lane earlier this year.

Society President Binoy Nair said: "The Society had an amazing event at The ME London hotel on the 27th April to commemorate our 74th Anniversary.

"A big thanks to the team at ME London headed by General Manager, Mathew Burbridge-Airs who ensured that every attendee had a fabulous experience. I would also like to highlight the work done behind the scenes by Alba Martinez, Head Concierge at ME London and Irena Gailiun, Head of Group Events and Planning.

"The event saw more than 200 attendees, comprising of our members and affiliates and also a cheque presentation of £23K to Hospitality Action."

He added: "The event was a grand success and kudos goes to the man behind it all, our Social Chairman Mr Anthony Lynch. The ME hotel staff were at their usual best with immaculate service and food and beverage offerings. My thanks to all those who attended and to those who put in a lot of work behind the scenes."

During the evening, the congregation joined in celebration of a very special birthday - Francis Spiteri's 80th.

A past president of The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain and The Commonwealth, last year Francis received long service recognition at the 73rd Anniversary Cocktail Party.

Binoy said: "We want to extend a big Happy Birthday to our ex-President; Francis really is a legend from our Concierge world."
