The Selection Process:
Proposed by their General Managers, the nominees had to show they are proud to represent their hotels and the Society of the Golden Keys. During an intense selection process, each candidate was measured on their active involvement and support of the Society, their contribution to training and development, and their social responsibility towards charitable initiatives and the environment.

Society President, Binoy Nair said: "The WHERE Concierge Awards have a special significance in our calendar, and this year is no exception. We celebrate our members and affiliates and recognise them for all their hard work throughout the year.
“On behalf of the committee and members, my thanks go out to all the hotel general managers and managers who have sent in nomination letters; without this support, we would not be as successful in creating magic moments for our guests."
He added: "And to all those who were nominated, it is an honour to be chosen by your hotels and companies, this experience will hold you in good stead and shape your future and personality.
The Panel
Binoy said: "My thanks also go out to Simon Thomas who was leading the panel again this year - the amount of time he spent in making sure everything goes well and also in redoing the entire format of interviews is no easy task.
"The panel - comprising of Simon Thomas, Tony Veri, Chris Johnson, Paolo Andrea Dalla Fina and Burak Ipekci - spent two entire days in going through all the applications and conducting interviews. And this is time taken out from their busy schedules, and voluntary as well.
"My thanks also go out to Patricia Mahon, GM of Hilton London Kensington and Stuart Geddes, MD of The Lanesborough for being the final panelist for the Concierge of The Year along with Simon. And one must never underestimate the work done by the one and only Paul Whittle who along with myself, did the final interviews for the Young Concierge of The Year Award."
He concluded: "Please enjoy your evening and nominate more members from your team for next year, the ground work starts today onwards!"
