I had the absolute honour of attending the 67th UICH Les Clefs d’Or Congress in Istanbul.

The experience of a lifetime

"I had the experience of a lifetime along with 15 other candidates from all around the globe, representing The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain and the Commonwealth in the Les Clefs d’Or award, honouring the late International President Denis O’Brien.

Although all the nominees were competing for the same award (International Young Concierge of the Year), we made friendships that will last forever.

Service Through Friendship Worldwide

What an incredible experience it was! As award nominees, we had the opportunity to observe the Board of Directors meeting and had front row seats to see the vision of the future of our society through the eyes of our respective Section Presidents.

Great British section

We had a fantastic Education Day focusing on ’Charting Our Course’. There were four industry leaders as guest speakers, who shared their vision on the future of hospitality and the importance of Les Clefs d’Or Concierges in keeping up with the latest trends and demands of ultra luxury experiences.

Middle: Hermann Elger, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide

Hermann Elger, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide, shared some research: 'Forbes Travel Guide five-star hotels with a Les Clefs d’Or Concierge on staff, average five points higher in Guest Service than those without'.

Although I didn’t bring the award back to London with me, the experience I had will remain with me for a lifetime.

I would like to thank everyone from the Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain and the Commonwealth and my colleagues at The Berkeley for their support and belief in me".
