Concierge, their guests and a host of travel industry VIPs enjoyed a night out at the 2023 Gala of the Society of the Golden Keys in Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
Toru Machida, President of the Society of the Golden Keys, alongside Committee Members, Concierge, their partners, distinguished guests and members of the UICH Executive Committee enjoyed a wonderful night of spectacular fine dining, entertainment and dancing at the Rosewood London.
A stunning £11,855 was raised for hospitality Action with prizes kindly provided by hotels and business affiliates alike.
All money raised helps fund the excellent work done by the charity Hospitality Action, supporting a whole range of support services to help hospitality people back on their feet again after a setback.
Les Clef’s d’Or GB has been a friend, partner, and supporter of Hospitality Action for many years.
Raffle prizes included hotel accommodation at The Savoy London, Kimpton Fitzroy, The Belmond Cadogan and The Carlton Tower Jumeirah.
Also included was a Tour of the Lake District gifted by Evan Evans Tours plus dinner at
Claridges Hotel and The Kensington Hotel.
Compère George Murray introduced a variety of speakers with Toru Machida, President of the Society of the Golden Keys, opening proceedings.
Patrick Graham, Hotel Manager of Rosewood London, welcomed guests to the spectacular hotel and a message of thanks was offered from Judith van der Heijden, social chairperson of Les Clefs d’Or Great Britain and the Commonwealth and Chief Concierge at Rosewood London.
Simon Thomas spoke powerfully in memory of Stuart Johnson, Managing Director of Rocco Forte Hotels Browns Hotel and erstwhile supporter of The Society who sadly passed away, before a toast to His Majesty King Charles III by Michael Jupiter, Welfare Officer of Les Clefs d’Or Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
