London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2024 will celebrate the vim, vigour, talent and diversity of the remarkable capital and indeed, the country that it serves.
The stunning London’s New Year’s Day Parade has become a cherished annual tradition since 1987, and it’s a wonderful spectacle for all the family to enjoy. Not only is the parade free to watch, but it’s set to be jam-packed with entertainment: bright colours, music, culture and incredible talent from across the globe. Supergroup Boyzlife, AKA Keith Duy and Brian McFadden of Boyzone and Westlife fame, will belt out their classic hits along the parade, together with the ‘one and only’ Chesney Hawkes and popstar Rachael O’Connor, who recently toured with Duran Duran.
The Parade
The festivities, which start at noon, last for around three and a half hours, so arrive early to secure the best views. The parade will begin in Piccadilly near Green Park Tube station. The route will pass through Piccadilly Circus and then curve past the grand stone façades of the buildings along Regent Street St James’s. It will then snake leftwards at Waterloo Place, continuing through to Trafalgar Square before turning right into Whitehall and finally arriving at Parliament Square.
All for a Great Cause
Charity is, and always has been, a cornerstone of LNYDP. Be amazed by the sensational and eclectic performers taking part in the London Boroughs’ Competition, who will be presenting their creative masterpieces and showcasing their borough to the watching world – hoping to win substantial cash prizes for their chosen charities. To date, the London Boroughs’ competition has raised more than £2.5 million for local charities. London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2024 is set to be the biggest and best parade yet, delighting the street audience of more than 550,000 people and the huge global TV audience, with a reach in excess of 420 million!
