A Shakespearean Setting
Surrounding the beautiful courtyard of Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences is a one of the world's longest Shakespearean sylvan friezes. The unique hand-carved terracotta frieze depicts scenes of some of the most famous Shakespeare plays in intricate detail including Love’s Labours Lost, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing and of course, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Filled with Enchantment
Set in five acts, A Midsummer Nights’ Dream afternoon tea will be full of enchantment, surprise and satisfaction. Devour delights such as thyme roasted chicken & apricot mayo in caraway bread, orange-zested ricotta & Louisa cucumber in beetroot bread, dark chocolate eart with tropical notes (mirroring love’s twists), a deep tart of berries (evoking love’s eternal sorrow) and a medley of scones (where flavours shift like lovers in the night).
This luxurious afternoon tea will excite all your senses
Sample Puck’s Mischief, an ode to the wickedly mischievous sprite. Just like Puck, this drink has a trick up its sleeve. The Elixir of Enchantment; take a sip and let midsummer’s dream take hold with this signature tea blend. Green tea, light as fairy wings, entwines with mulberry’s earthy whisper, finished with a tease of cranberries and lingonberries.
Just a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, Kona has been be transformed into an enchanted forest with whimsical flourishes throughout the restaurant and intrinsically designed bespoke crockery. A Midsummer Night’s Dream afternoon tea is available Friday to Sunday, with seatings at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. Vegetarian and vegan versions are available.
