The team behind the acclaimed Kitty Fisher’s in Mayfair and Cora Pearl in Covent Garden, have launched their new restaurant, Cafe Kitty at Underbelly Boulevard, the new Soho theatre from Underbelly, the producers of ‘Cabaret.’

With uniquely atmospheric hospitality and a delicious modern British menu, Cafe Kitty opens for lunch and dinner until late in the evening, as befits its position in the very heart of Soho.

Cafe Kitty is the ‘cool little sister’ of Kitty Fisher’s and Cora Pearl. The restaurant occupies the first floor of the 200-capacity performance venue. With this iconic and historic location, above the bustle of Berwick Street and neon signs of Walker’s Court, Cafe Kitty is a standalone food and drink destination and Soho industry hangout, while offering a pre and post-show dining experience like no other.

Theatrical Interiors

Reflecting its position in the home of the hottest cabaret, variety and music, the restaurant’s interior evokes the venue’s theatrical surroundings. Blush pink walls are inset with original burlesque posters, while antiqued wobble mirrors and upholstered panels are inspired by Underbelly’s famous Spiegel tents. Dark green velvet banquette seating and marble-topped brass tables can accommodate up to 60 covers.

"We want Cafe Kitty to feel like a cool younger sister; delicious food, restorative drinks and full of that magical Soho energy."
Signature Dishes

Created by Cafe Kitty Head Chef Charles Shaw, the food is vibrant, fun and delicious. With small plates and relaxed mains, the menu has been designed to accommodate a quick bite for lunch, a meal grabbed with show ticket in hand, as well as a more leisurely dinner or special occasion, with dishes designed to be savoured slowly. Signature dishes include the Steak Tartare, Shoestring Fries & Pecorino, Hannan’s Salt-Aged Sirloin, Stavordale Cheese Salad and the Cafe Kitty special dessert Boozy Knickerbocker Glory, a delicious pear and gingerbread mousse with plenty of biscuit crumb. On Sundays, delicious roasts are offered, making Cafe Kitty the perfect place to enjoy newspapers, jazz, and Bloody Marys, and perhaps to catch a show afterwards.

From Business Lunches to Romantic Dinners

Tom Mullion and Oz Milburn of Kitty Fisher's Group said: "We have always wanted to be in Soho, and to be able to victual the Underbelly Boulevard patrons and their incredible performers is fantastic. We want Cafe Kitty to feel like a cool younger sister; delicious food, restorative drinks and full of that magical Soho energy. As always in our restaurants, Cafe Kitty will of course have room for long business lunches and romantic dinners too. In all they produce, Underbelly make us laugh and cry; then we leave, happily pondering the extraordinary power of artistic endeavour. And now, food."
